Horsham was a class above Stawell in the Wimmera Netball Association 15 and under B grand final on Saturday.
Warm conditions greeted the teams for the decider, with Horsham the ones to take the ascendancy early.
They scored 16 goals to three in the first term to have one hand already on the premiership cup.
Stawell chipped away and gradually improved as the game went on, finishing with their highest scoring quarter in the fourth term.
The Demons ran away with the premiership 59-16.
Kate Sleep scored 37 goals on her way to win the medal for best on court in the grand final.
The medal adds to Sleep’s collection from the season, having also won the association best and fairest for her division.
In her speech after at the post-game presentations, Stawell coach Kerri Taylor congratulated both teams an reinforced the need for clubs to put forward 15 and under B teams.
“These girls wouldn’t have had a chance to play if we didn’t have this competition, so any girls that are interested need to tell their clubs and try and get another team up and running.”
Just five teams competed in the 15 and under B competition this season.
