In just 10 years, the NAHC has made a dream come true.
Nhill now has a living memorial to the 10,000 young men and women who trained at the Nhill RAAF Base during World War II, and a showcase for aviation activity in Nhill that has spanned almost 100 years.
To celebrate this remarkable achievement, the NAHC board has invited all members of the public to enjoy the celebrations from 10am to 4pm. A free barbecue will be available from noon, with entertainment, a book sale and free access to the Arhens Hangar before the official ‘cutting of the cake’ at 2pm. The long awaited start-up of the Wirraway engine will be at 2.30pm as a finale for the day.
