New York Nuggets and Phantoms will do battle first up in the first semi-final with the winner living to fight another day, while its mothballs for the losing team.
Head to head stands at one each with Nuggets winning early in the season and Phantoms returning favour a couple of weeks ago.
The Nuggets will look to Jon Fitzgerald to lead the way.
Fitzgerald is an imposing figure on the net both in attack and with his blocking and if he can get good delivery from setter Noah Brennan, he could very well win the game off his own hand.
But Phantoms have Jack Hannan as their key attacker and with Nathan Berry as his setter, Hannan should get plenty of opportunities to use his trademark quick attacks to effect.
In the second semi, Shados Inala takes on Volleyroos.
They have played each other three times throughout the season with the Volleyroos holding two wins to one advantage over their opponents.
Volleyroos trademark is their defense.
They continually frustrate their opponents out of points as they pick everything up. Kara Johnson and Jordy Weidemann are the keys.
Shados Inala will rely heavily on veteran Tim Popple to hit winners, while Tyler Snowden’s ability to attack through the middle keep the Volleyroos defense on their guard.
In B grade Von Steiger Brothers will face off against Murtoa in the first semi. Emma and Blair Avery are the keys to the Von Steiger Brothers offense with Emma a clever setter, while Blair hits big.
Murtoa will look to Bailey Logan and Damian Tanner to keep them in the game. In the second semi, Von Steiger Barbarians will do battle with Waterhammers.
The Barbarians have big hitters in Darcy Wills and Tom Bourchier but they must get past the twin towers in Andrew Wundke and Chris Baker.
Finals always serve up surprises as anything could happen. It all points to another exciting night of volleyball.
