One of the organisers Stoph Pilmore said he was looking forward to seeing people out and about fishing at the weekend.
“We always look forward to this weekend – it’s very family focused and a good chance for people to get into the boat and fish in the river as not too many people get the chance to do that too often,” he said.
“I think at the last count pre-registrations were at about 200 and then we probably have had another 60 so far, so we are pretty happy with that.”
For those fishing on the bank of the river, it’s first in best dressed.
“We already have people setting up some camps and we suggest people don’t waste too much time, because the majority of the winning fish the past four years have been caught in that first hour,” Pilmore said.
Registrations can be made at the Dimboola Rowing Club sheds.
