The annual event aims to raise funds for a series of selected charities.
The 38th edition saw an excellent field of 76 ladies from golf clubs across the Wimmera, Mallee and Western District taking to the course for an excellent day out.
In beautiful sunny weather, Joan Williams and Josie Phelan were the winners of the day. Their tremendous score of 45 stableford points earned them the top gong. In a tightly contested battle, Barb Farr and Julie Wirth finished runners-up with 43 stableford points.
All proceeds from the day, including a trading table, were given to three charities. The Cancer Council, Horsham branch of the Red Cross and the Walter and Eliza Hall Research Institute, all received more than $600.
The institute, Australia’s oldest medical research institute, is affiliated with the University of Melbourne and the Royal Melbourne Hospital.
