After a decade of setbacks, the club called on the community to help raise $300,000 by its self-set deadline of Sunday to avoid the potential of going into administration.
A meeting will be held on Monday for board members to discuss the club’s future.
“We’ll be assessing where we are at the moment and where the appeal is at. We will also be seeking advice about our next steps,” Mr Delahunty said.
“I’m confident that we will meet our target; as of Wednesday night, the total was $220,000.”
Mr Delahunty said he was grateful for the community’s support.
“A lot of the fundraising has come from the Horsham and district community – people who aren’t even members of the club. We’re really grateful for all the support,” he said.
He said the club’s next step would be to look at ways to lower its $1.4 million debt.
