Items made were folded patchwork stars, crocheted Christmas stars and lavender bags.
The Christmas decorations are to be donated to CWA of Victoria for their annual Christmas fair and the lavender bags are for Umina, the CWA bed and breakfast in Toorak, Melbourne.
Members enjoyed a shared luncheon, and much laughter and friendship was shared while crafting.
It was a great roll up so many items were made.
Celebrating a World of Women
The state president of the Country Women’s Association of Victoria is inviting Wimmera district CWA branch members to come together from April 4 to 10, 2019 at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre to celebrate 90 Years of Women helping Women Worldwide at the 29th Triennial Associated Country Women of the World (ACWW) Conference.
April next year will indeed be an exciting time for Melbourne, for Victoria, and for Australia, when the Associated Country Women of the World, which enjoys Consultative Status at the United Nations, brings women from some 76 countries around the globe together to make change happen.
ACWW and the CWA of Victoria believe in creating opportunities for women to exercise more power and influence over their lives and that of their families.
The way to achieve this is by being better informed, being part of an enabling environment and having the necessary tools to make the changes needed and wanted.
Horsham as host
Conference is February 22, host branch is Horsham.
State representative Jeanette O'Keefe will attend.
Festive farewells
