Authorities were alerted to the blaze about 1pm.
The fire covered about 80 hectares and was deemed under control by 2.58pm.
A Country Fire Authority spokeswoman said about 20 vehicles attended the scene.
District 17 operations officer Alfred Mason said an additional 24 crew from Forest Fire Management Victoria were on site to assist.
He said the vehicles on site included a bulldozer, an excavator, aircraft from Stawell and a grader.
Mr Mason said dinner was being prepared for about 90 crew still on site, with a contingency expected to stay overnight to monitor the blaze.
“Hopefully they will just be controlling it,” Mr Mason said.
The blaze was sparked by a piece of support machinery used in harvesting operations, but a more specific cause has not yet been formally identified.
Police were onsite to investigate.
Mr Mason said the injured person was a family member of the farm residents, and was transported to The Alfred Hospital for burns.
Further details regarding the injured person are still emerging from Ambulance Victoria.
