Taylor will form a tandem with Jodie Hayes to co-coach A and B Grade together.
Last season was Hayes' first year as head coach in A Grade as Dimboola finished just outside of finals in sixth place.
Taylor said she was excited to work closely with Hayes to bring the best out of the playing group.
"I think Jodie and I with our combined experience are hoping to provide a really good structure for the girls," Taylor said.
"We've both come from different leagues. I've been playing in the Loddon Valley league in Bendigo and she's obviously pretty new to coaching so we can both provide different perspectives."
Taylor returned to Dimboola last season after almost 20 years away from the club and the area. Her playing return was derailed when she snapped her achilles just two weeks before the start of the season, but she still coached B Grade from the sidelines.
Taylor said she is looking forward to coaching A Grade entirely from the bench this season, but still hoped to play some B Grade games later in the year.
"It can be challenging to coach when you're playing, so I'm looking to just coach from the sideline in A Grade while Jodie is playing," Taylor said.
Dimboola are also buoyed by the potential of new recruits and returning players. Olivia Jorgensen and Tahlia Avery have both returned to the club, providing more depth to the side.
"We've still got a couple that we're talking to that haven't committed to a club yet as well," Taylor said.
"With a couple of recruits and by keeping most of our A Grade squad, we should hopefully have a good season."
