Sergeant Matt Currow said the school was broken into on Monday night between 6pm and 8am the following day.
He said a laptop was stolen and a computer was damaged.
Sergeant Currow said the crime could be linked to another break-in and theft at the Nhill State Emergency Service building between February 26 and the 27.
"It seems to be linked with another burglary at the local SES building where three laptops were stolen, a computer was damaged and a quantity of cash was taken," he said.
"The SES unit was unable to operate from the building until police conducted their search."
Sergeant Currow said there was a "great concern" that someone was targeting community premises.
He said anyone with information could contact the Nhill Police Station on 5391 1022.
