Creek signed a 10-day contract with the Timberwolves that was due to expire before the end of the season.
The extension gave Creek another chance to play NBA minutes. The Timberwolves faced the Toronto Raptors on Wednesday and the Denver Nuggets in their final game of the season on Thursday.
Creek got onto the court with Minnesota for the first time in the second quarter against the Raptors. He spent some time guarding superstar and MVP candidate Kawhi Leonard.
With the Timberwolves trailing significantly late in the game, Creek also showed his potential in the final six and a half minutes of the last quarter.
Creek scored six points, secured two rebounds and a steal in an impressive final term.
Creek took to Facebook after the match to express his gratitude for the Timberwolves extension.

It is a conflicting period for Creek as the Long Island Nets - the team he has played with all season in the NBA G-League - are currently contending for the title. The Nets have made the finals and need just one more win against the Rio Grande Valley Vipers to secure the championship.
Creek posted on his Instragram story ahead of game two: "Wish I was there with you guys - I know you'll take care of business!"
The Nets fell in game two and will attempt to win the championship in game three on their home court.
The Timberwolves are out of playoff contention.
