Revlis took home this year's headline race by half-a-neck on the line to give Stawell-based trainer, Terry O'Sullivan his third Warracknabeal Cup.
O'Sullivan shared his delight with cup-goers after the race.
"He's going great so it's really good. I'm just going along, it's the groom who does all the work anyway," he said.
The four-year-old gelding was one of the favourites going in at odds of $3.50 and lived up to expectations after a strong ride by jockey Jessica Eaton.
Eaton told attendees it was nice to continue her good form riding O'Sullivan's horses
"We came in with plenty of confidence because we've been running some great races in town," she said.
"It's probably not a genuine mileage just yet, but that last little bit was true grit. It was tough to the line."
Revlis was pushed to the end by Tasmanian nine-year-old Kenjorwood, who finished in second place.
Kenjorwood was tipped by many as an outside threat coming into the cup, but a late surge wasn't enough to beat the locally trained horse.
Bling Dynasty, trained by last year's winning trainer Paul Preusker, came home in third place.
The 25-year-old Eaton said Revlis did well to hold on late.
"He can be a little bit keen early, but with all the pressure at the start of the race we were able to lob into a lovely spot and get stuck right into it," she said.
"Terry is a great boss for me so to get another cup for him is a great result and a good reward for effort."
O'Sullivan won his first Warracknabeal Cup in 1976.
"It was a horse called Courage King, a steeplechaser. Ray White rode him and I well remember that. $28 a win he was," he said.
Revlis' win earned O'Sullivan nearly $25,000 in prize money.
The feature event was a part of YFest, Warracknabeal's annual easter festival. Crowds flocked to the town to for the long weekend celebrations and lined the main street for a parade on the Saturday morning.
Off the track, the shaded bar and marquees were kept busy as punters escaped the heat. Rebecca Lewis was crowned the winner of a hotly contested Fashion on the Fields event.
