The Baggies came away with a seven point lead at half-time but extended the lead to go on and win by 31 points after making changes.
The A Grade team had players missing due to unavailability and injury but were able to follow through with coach Courtney Morrow's request throughout the week leading into the game, around adapting to change.
Morrow, a prominent figure in the side's mid-court was forced to play the first half at goal defence.
"We had some B Grade players step up and fill the void extremely well," she said. "I didn't expect to win by as much as we did - it will help with our percentage.
"It looks like it could be a very tight competition again in A Grade this season and every percentage point could come into play when finals come around."
Morrow said she thought the changes made at half time worked well.
"We worked really well as a team and it's a credit to the girls. At no time did I feel we took the pressure off which could happen when the game was pretty much wrapped up. They fought right to the end - it was great to see," she said.
"I identified we need to work on some court placement - there were some times we were bunching together."
Pimpinio coach Renee Clarkson said she despite the "blow out" in the end there are many things she can take away from the game.
"We have to work on our match fitness so we can play out the full four quarters," she said.
"We've got a brand new side and still building and learning - with some younger players also coming in this season."
The final score was 68-37.
