The 15-year-old is a member of the Victorian 7-a-side Cerebral Palsy Football Team, nominated for the Team of the Year award.
Panozzo said he was proud to be nominated alongside his teammates.
"It's pretty cool to know that our team is in the running for the win," he said.
"We have a good team. It's like everyone is different, but everyone is the same at the same time so you can relate.
"It'd be a pretty cool achievement to know that we won while I was on the team. It's kind of a feeling like maybe I did do something and it's a good reward."
Sabian finished second with Victoria at the National Cerebral Palsy Football Championships in Sydney last year.
"There were a couple of people in there who were about 20 years older than me and when we went to Sydney they kind of took me under their wing," he said.
"The captain of the Pararoos (Australia's Paralympic soccer team) was part of the team too, so it was great to be around him and having someone there who is travelling the world playing cerebal palsy football.
"I don't really have role models, but it would be cool to travel the world and play soccer."
Fellow finalists for the Team of the Year award are the IceROOS and the Australian Half Marathon team, who competed at the World INAS Games.
The award will be presented at a ceremony in Melbourne on May 22.
