HORSHAM police are calling for witnesses after a wheel fell off a truck and hit another car on the Western Highway.

Acting Senior Sergeant Robert Martin said the incident occurred on the highway near Drung at 3.20am on Wednesday.
He said a wheel from a trailer of an Adelaide-bound truck came off and hit a Melbourne-bound car.
"The driver of the truck might not be aware that this occurred," he said.
Acting Senior Sergeant Martin said the incident caused damage worth about $10,000 to the car.
He said the wheel hit the car's bull bar and grill area.
"The vehicle was still driveable," he said.
Acting Senior Sergeant Martin said police were looking for anything who witnessed the incident.
"We are trying to identify the truck that was involved," he said.
