Calvin Pendlebury, 31, appeared in the dock at Horsham Magistrates' Court on Monday.
The court heard that police searched a house at Warracknabeal on May 31.
Pendlebury was at the property and police allegedly found cannabis bongs and grinders.
Police also allegedly found a small bag of cannabis in Pendlebury's wallet.
The court heard, Pendlebury was on bail at the time for similar offences.
Police had searched the same Warracknabeal property on April 2 and found Pendlebury allegedly attempting to dispose of a firearm.
Pendlebury was charged with possession of an unregistered firearm and using cannabis.
He faced court for those offences and was bailed.
The prosecution argued that Pendlebury was at risk of re-offending if he was granted bail again.
The police informant said Pendlebury was addicted to drugs and had already shown a total disregard of bail conditions.
"He continues to commit indictable offences while on bail," he said.
"The biggest concern is that he will return to that property - during both search warrants Pendlebury was located there.
"He is a habitual drug user."
Defence lawyer Simon Torpy argued Pendlebury would live with his mum if granted bail.
Pendlebury's mother told the court that she would report her son to police if he breached his bail conditions.
Magistrate Franz Hozler granted Pendlebury's bail, but warned him to keep away from drugs.
"Don't touch them, use them, or go near them," he said.
"If you stuff up and come back before me, I will remember what I've told you."
Pendlebury will reappear in Horsham Magistrates' Court on July 15.
