Emergency crews attended the scene near the Horsham Racecourse at 2.20pm.
Horsham police Leading Senior Constable Mick Ryan said it appeared the woman hit the accelerator pedal instead of the brake when she was exiting James Street.
She drove onto the curb and hit a tree, causing her car to tip over.
"She was reversing out of her driveway and collided with another car," he said.
"It doesn't appear that she suffered any serious injuries. We don't know the extent of her injuries at this stage."
The woman was taken via road ambulance to Wimmera Base Hospital in a stable condition.
Police diverted traffic around Baillie Street while the scene was cleared.
