This week we chat to Sam Jenkinson about what he enjoys about playing football.
Name: Sam Jenkinson
Age: 15
What club do you play for, in what competition and what age group?
I play for the Stawell Warriors in the Wimmera Football League's Under 17 competition.
How long have you played football for?
Seven years.
Why did you start playing football?
I was having a kick with my mates and just never stopped.
What position is your favourite and why?
My favourite position is the midfield, as you are always in the play or in the forwards to kick goals.
What's your favourite thing about playing footy?
Having a runaround with my mates and trying to get a win.
What's your favourite football memory?
Winning the Under 13s grand final in 2016.
Do you have a favourite footballer and what AFL team do you support?
My favourite footballer is Nathan Fyfe and I support the Hawthorn Hawks.
