Campus manager Geoff Lord said the Certificate IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping will be offered from mid-July as evening classes.
"The course will be run between 5.30 and 10pm over 12 months one day a week to make easier for people who are already working to study," he said.
"The course will give graduates the skills to operate MYOB business software, read reports and manage accounts and balances. Small, medium and large businesses in the Wimmera have shown interest in this course being offered, as have a number of accounting firms requesting this for their own employees.
"It could also benefit sporting clubs that need treasurers and secretarial support."
Mr Lord said nearly all the spots in the first course, of which there were more than 20, had already been filled.

The organisation's manager of TAFE Marketing and Engagement Bill Mundy said more than 60 people were studying Federation University's existing Free TAFE courses offered in the Wimmera.
"We offer Certificate III in Individual Support and Horticulture, and also Diploma of Nursing," he said.
"More than 450 students attend the Wimmera campus in total across Free TAFE, paid TAFE and VET in schools, which is a program for year 10, 11 and 12 students to given them a taste of what it would be like to study a trade full-time."
