The A Grade match had spectators on the edge of their seats, with little separating both teams throughout the match.
While the Pumas led at every break, the Hawks rose to the occasion in the last quarter, winning 43-40. Maggie Astbury's stellar year continued with another standout match in attack for the Hawks. Her performance was aided at the other end by sister Alice, who put in another impressive defensive effort.
The B Grade game started out in similar fashion, with only five goals separating the sides at half-time.
Tatyoon stepped up in the third quarter, outscoring the Pumas 18-3. The Hawks were able to keep this momentum going in the last quarter, taking out the match 16-42.
Emma Dwyer continues to dominate in the goal ring for Tatyoon, shooting at 84 per cent, scoring 36 of her side's 42 goals. She was aided by brilliant delivery into the ring by Steph Carter, who has been a vital link in the attack for the Hawks this year.
Moyston Willaura was able to come out on top in a nailbitter in the C Grade bout, winning 28-26.
The game was won in the final couple of minutes, with no more than a few goals separating both sides throughout that match.
The Pumas' win was aided by a solid defensive display by Bec Vanderwaal, capitalising every on missed scoring opportunities by the Hawks.
The Pumas' ability to come together as a team when the game was in the balance got them over the line.
