For more than 125 years St Patrick's College has provided a home-away-from-home for boarding students from farms across Western Victoria.
In 2019, with a new, fully-operational $7 million boarding precinct providing elite living environs, the life of a boarder has never been better.
"Over many generations, the heartbeat of boarding at St Patrick's College has come from the farms of western Victoria," director of boarding Mike Silcock said.
"Today, while our boarding program has expanded ever further beyond the state boundaries, particularly into the Northern Territory, we still house many, many fine young men from regional and rural Victoria who are enjoying the benefits of a wonderful boarding education."
A major feature of the new boarding precinct is the spacious, studio-apartment style bedrooms with a maximum of two boys to a room, located across three storeys and surrounding an internal grassed recreation area.
Boys have access to school sporting facilities after hours, and are required to attend supervised study sessions.
The custom-built kitchen, servery and dining area creates a fantastic familial atmosphere, providing a unique sense of community and building the foundations for friendships which will last a lifetime.
"Our mission at St Patrick's College is to raise fine boys to the status of great men, and we feel that our boarding program is the best place for that to occur," Mr Silcock said.
Tours of the College and of the boarding precinct are available by appointment through the College registrar who can be contacted on 5322 4449 or an info@stpats.vic.edu.au
