In what was essentially an elimination final in the Horsham District football league, Jeparit-Rainbow emphatically claimed a top-six spot and ended Kalkee's season with a 78-point victory.

On a wet and obscenely cold day at Jeparit, the Storm adapted quicker to the conditions and had the game all-but won just minutes into the second term.
The Storm kicked the first eight goals of the match, six of them coming from key forward Ben Warren, who was seemingly playing dry weather football while everyone else toiled in the slush.
When Warren rolled through his fifth, a delightful left-foot dribbler from near the boundary line early in the second quarter, the match was done and dusted.
Jeparit-Rainbow coach Dan Batson said it was pleasing to seize an unassailable lead early in the match.
"It's one of those games where, in the conditions, it could've been a slog till the last five minutes," Batson said.
"So in the first few minutes, when the weather was probably at its worse, it was good to get that five goal buffer which really set us up for the day,"
The Storm led 10.3 (63) to 2.2 (14) at half time, before Kalkee kicked into gear. The Kee's played much improved football in the third term, giving their fans something to cheer about with several superb highlight goals.
Baillie Batchelor and Matthew Neild both goalled impressively on the run from tight angles, before Colby Ledgar, almost out of bounds and surrounded by Storm defenders, dribbled through a corker.
But Kalkee's push was a case of too little too late. Even as the contest evened up through the midfield, Jeparit-Rainbow were ruthlessly efficient going forward, with goalkicking tandem Peter Weir and Ben Warren proving too much to handle.
Kalkee's Jace Monaghan battled gallantly and did a decent job on Weir, but Warren had a day-out right until the very last, booting his 11th and Jeparit-Rainbow's 20th goal in the dying minutes.
The final score was 20.12 (132) to 8.6 (54).
With the victory Jeparit-Rainbow guaranteed themselves a finals berth, holding a four-point and massive percentage advantage on Kalkee with just one match left. Batson hoped the emphatic performance was a sign of things to come.
"It's what we play footy for, to play finals, so it's another tick. But the job is only half done," Batson said.
"We want to make a difference in finals. If we play like we did today, I think we can match it with most teams in the comp."
Kalkee coach Stuart Farr said his side was outplayed "from start to finish", in a disappointing end to their season.
"It's just disappointing that we're not playing finals. We think we're good enough to be there, but the results say otherwise," Farr said.
"The draw is never even. That happens. We're probably on the stiff side of it, but that's life."
In other results, Harrow-Balmoral lay waste to Swifts with an ominous 169 point thumping, Noradjuha-Quantong won by a similar margin against Pimpinio, Natimuk United defeated Taylors Lake and Rupanyup held-on against Laharum.
