Ferntree Gully man Emil Pich, 60, died on July 11 when the Firefly Express bus he was driving crashed into a B-double trailer, which had dislodged from the cabin.
The crash happened on the highway at Pimpinio at 2.10am.
A Victoria Police spokesman told the Mail-Times there were still no updates from Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives about the cause of the crash.
"The investigation is still ongoing and it could take quite a while," he said.
No one has been charged in relation to the crash.
The bus was carrying 45 passengers at the time of the crash and nine required attention from paramedics.
Two passengers were flown to a Melbourne hospital in a stable condition.
The truck driver, a Murray Bridge man, 36, and his female passenger, 22, were not injured.
