The Burras and the Rats met at Murtoa just one week after the Burras suffered a surprise loss to Ararat in round 18 of the Wimmera League's home and away season.
This time things were different. The Burras took the round 18 lessons to heart and came out strong, defeating Ararat 42 goals to 35.
"It felt really good," Minyip-Murtoa coach Billie Bibby said.
"I think we knew what we'd done wrong last week and we knew what we had to do to better ourselves, and that's what we've come out and done today."
Up until half time there was no clear leader on the board. Ararat had 20 goals and the Burras had 19.
"I was still really nervous (at half time)," Bibby said.
"Ararat definitely put it to us right to the end. We knew Ararat would do that to us and we just had to be the ones with the steady hand and consistent play, and that's what we've done."
Ararat coach Taylor Mason said her side didn't do what she knew they could.
"Our netball was not good today," she said.
"I said to the girls after the game if we had have played like that against the Horsham Demons, they would have eaten us alive.
"The intensity wasn't there, the team work wasn't there and the support wasn't there.
"There were still some positives and at the end of the day it's finals netball and if you play like that you're not going to win the game."
