Earlier: POLICE are directing traffic on Horsham's Golf Course Road as works to repair a natural gas leak continue.
Senior Constable Josh Barnett said officers closed a stretch of road, between Turnbull and Kendall drives, to some vehicles as a precaution.
Emergency services were called to the area at 1.10pm on Tuesday.
He said police believed the cause of the leak to be a tradesperson "hitting" a gas pipe.
Country Fire Authority crews are repairing the leak. A statement from the CFA, at 2.14pm, said there was no threat to residents, but that they should continue to stay informed and keep the roads clear so emergency services can respond.
The CFA will provide another update before 8.20pm.
More to come.
