The Saints found themselves behind by two at quarter-time but were able to get the jump on the Demons in the second quarter.
The Demons weren't going away quietly and turned on a brilliant display of passing through the corridor to get back within three at three-quarter time.
The Saints lifted and there was no stopping Sophie Taylor, shooting at 100 per cent in the last quarter.
The Saints ran away with the game 31 to 23.
Saints' Tyela Scrimizzi was named best on the ground for the day.
