Mr Crettenden will bring up a milestone, calling the cup for the 15th time.
"My first one was in 1998," he said. "I was counting how many Horsham Cup books I have ... this is my 15th one.
"I cut my teeth on a lot of these Wimmera tracks many years ago, so I'm pretty familiar going there, with the track and the short finishing straight."
Mr Crettenden said calling country cups was always an enjoyable job.
"The atmosphere for those cup days are a lot different to your standard industry days - they're always good fun," he said.
Mr Crettenden just had one wish for the day's biggest race.
"No race caller really wants close finishes," Mr Crettenden said.
"I can't control that. If we get a close one it happens. I know the angle pretty well from the finishing line, so you should get it right nine times out of ten. But there's one that might surprise you."
