Update 4.30pm: PowerCor crews have restored power to nearly 600 Wimmera customers, after having to make urgent repairs.

The company's public affairs manager Emma Tyner said it had to undertake a controlled outage at 2.22pm so crews could safely repair a broken crossarm on a power pole at Jeparit.
"All power was restored by 3.41pm," she said.
"We have no idea what caused the crossarm to break."
Earlier: ALMOST 600 Wimmera Mallee residents are without power on Friday afternoon.
Townships including Hopetoun, Kenmare, Rainbow, Speed and Yaapeet are affected by the outage.
The cause of the incident is unknown and Powercor estimates that power will be restored by 5.30pm.
