Halls Gap pool was the first to open in the region, marking the occasion on Thursday as part of festivities for the Budja Budja Neighbourhood House Halloween trick or treat walk.
Pools at Nhill, Rainbow and Jeparit will open on Saturday, November 16 while Dimboola pool will open on Sunday, November 17.
Rainbow and Jeparit pools will host a sausage sizzle to mark the start of their swim seasons.
In West Wimmera shire, Edenhope and Kaniva pools also open on November 16 while the Goroke pool opens Saturday, December 1.
A Northern Grampians Shire Council spokesman said the outdoor pool at Stawell Sports and Aquatic Centre would open in mid-November, while St Arnaud pool was likely to open on November 16.
Ararat Olympic Outdoor Pool, Willaura Outdoor Memorial Pool and Peter O'Rorke Lake Bolac Memorial Pool will open on Saturday, November 30.
Marnoo and Minyip pools open to swimmers by December 1.
The Minyip opening comes after concerns that the pool might not open this season due to a lack of lifeguards - but pool committee secretary Gina Gellion said they had managed to recruit several additional helpers.
Yarraiambiack Shire Council said Warracknabeal Memorial Swimming Pool will open sometime in November or on December 1 - depending on the weather.
Horsham Rural City Council did not respond to questions about whether the upgrade of the Horsham Aquatic Centre's outdoor pool would be ready for the public to enjoy in December, as scheduled.
A previous statement from the council said renovations of the outdoor pool included improvements to the wet deck guttering system, alterations to the pool's shell and a universal access ramp.
