HUNDREDS turned out to Natimuk on Friday night, for the opening of the 2019 Nati Frinj Bienniale arts and cultural festival.

The parade down the northern part of the main street saw performers and festival-goers alike strut their staff.
Natimuk residents Jess Hartridge and Alison Eggleton were attending their fourth event, and said the 2019 one was "a lot bigger" than in previous years.
"The parade was more colourful and there were more people waiting at the end," Ms Eggleton said.
Visitors to this year's event came from as far afield as North America. Bob Viola, a local of Jackson Hall, Wyoming, attended after first coming to Natimuk to climb in 2018.
"I heard from friends I have the Frinj would be on so I was always going to come back and party," he said.
