The Demons put together a senior women's football team for a full season in 2019, competing in the Deakin University Female Football League against three other clubs.
The side played a six-game season in an encouraging beginning for women's football in the region.
Rigby said he was looking forward to being even more involved in 2020.
"My wife played last year and I got dragged into coming to a few games, then next minute I'm driving the bus, then coaching the team," Rigby said.
"I enjoyed it last year so I thought I may as well keep coaching. They are a great bunch to work with."
2019 coaches Jordyn Burke and Garrett Liston will step aside, with both taking on a larger role with the Demons' senior men's side.
Liston said it had been an encouraging start to senior women's football.
"What I noticed last year, was everyone was just happy to be there and having a kick," Liston said.
"It sort of was a bit like what country football was 10-15 years ago; they really play because they want to play."
Rigby, who most recently played for Taylors Lake in the Horsham District football league, said the key was to grow women's football, rather than be concerned with club allegiances.
"Just to get women's football started and off the ground, that's the main part," Rigby said.
"It doesn't matter who starts it, or what club, as long as it's started.
"It's about giving them the best opportunity to have a team and get the league going. It's about getting the ladies started and making sure that they've got games and a season to look forward to.
"The competition will look after its self once it gets started - teams will grow and more will join."
While the fixtures are yet to be released for the 2020 season, Warrnambool were reportedly looking to introduce a second team in addition to the 2019 premiers South Warrnambool.
Games will be played on Sunday likely through April to August.
The Demons first two training sessions are set to be held on the 13th and the 20th of November at Horsham's City Oval.
Rigby encouraged anyone interested to come down and have a kick.
"Just come down - the main goal this year is just to have fun and have a kick, we're not taking it too seriously," he said.
"We want the girls to come down and enjoy themselves, have a kick, and if they come and play and we win a premiership, that's just a bonus for us. The main goal is just to have a bit of fun."
