The club has secured enough interest to go ahead, although still requiring a few more players to complete the side. The development in the club comes after a call to withdraw its junior team in 2019, despite over-aged players enthusiastic to keep the club running.
Storm will now wait to find out what league they will be allocated to for 2020.
"We will know in a weeks time what league we will be playing in," committee member Sandy Burton said.
"At this stage, we're not sure if we will be back in Goldfields or made to play in the DUFFL.
"We would prefer to play in the Goldfields' league as its a stronger league and DUFFL is still small, but our fate is with the decisions from the leagues.
"Ultimately, it's about females getting back onto the oval and be a pathway opportunity for up and coming footballers."
After the disappointment of last season, Ms Burton said an emphasis will be put onto junior development within the club and developing homegrown players.
"In the past, we were the only club in the area so we had a huge influx of players," she said. "Over time, as more teams are popping up players are spread between teams and club.
"Girls football is certainly on the rise and we really need to focus on developing our juniors."
Ararat Storm only needs six more players to register an under 18's side again.
"We are sitting with about the same numbers in the under-15 age group as well," Ms Burton said.
"We are on the hunt for a coach for the opens side and we're really hoping we will get some more numbers in and then we can go out and look for two more coaches.
"That's the outcome we want. We want to go out looking for more coaches, it means we have more teams and more players playing football."
The club has spoken about the possibility of sitting under the banner of a football club.
"We will gather all the information we have and put it out to our members at our next meeting," Ms Burton said.
