Senior Constable Lachlan Hurst, of Nhill, said petty cash was stolen from a business on Victoria Street between 4pm on November 7 and midday on Tuesday November 12.
Money was stolen from another business on the street between 7.45am and midday on Monday November 11.
An unknown number of offenders attempted to burgle a third Victoria Street business between 4pm on Saturday November 9 and 6.45am on Sunday.
Money was stolen from a school on Leahy Street between 4pm on Friday and 9.30am on Sunday.
Another burglary took place at a business on Macpherson Street between midday on Friday and 8.30am on Monday, though nothing was taken.
Finally, an unknown number of offenders attempted to burgle a business on Clarence Street between 4pm on Saturday and 1.50pm on Tuesday.
Senior Constable Hurst said officers were seeking anyone who had witnessed suspicious behaviour in Nhill to contact them on 5391 1022 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
"We also want residents to be aware of any such activity and contact triple zero as it is occurring," he said.
Senior Constable Hurst declined to go into details when asked if there were any suspects and whether police had spoken to them.
