The HRCAV Meritorious Award is for Outstanding Service to the HRCAV Community.
Cindy has been an accredited level assessor for over 10 years, a show judge for two years and has just completed her dressage judging certification.
These extra studies were on top of Cindy's busy life which includes being an equestrian competitor, pony club and dressage instructor and school teacher as well as her farming and family commitments.
Cindy has also represented her home club on many occasions at state level of Top Teams Trophy where teams compete for the honour of winning the title of The Top Team.
She currently rides HRCAV Advanced level in dressage and showing on her TB gelding King Chorus, and competes regularly each month.
Cindy was immensely proud and humbled to have been successfully nominated by her club.
Cindy's home club, the HDESC, is based at the Riverside Recreation Reserve and has regular monthly rallies which are a great opportunity for learning and sharing experience and knowledge in a supportive environment.
She has been on the club's executive committee previously as treasurer and now as the current secretary.
On any rally day or competition you will find Cindy among the riders, the setting up/pack up crew and using her culinary skills for event catering.
Cindy was immensely proud and humbled to have been successfully nominated by her club.
The HDESC congratulates Cindy on recognition of her outstanding achievement.
The HRCAV has a base membership of over 6000 people, and 254 clubs which extend well beyond the Victorian borders now into New South Wales and South Australia.
The popularity of equestrian sports both as participant and riding members has resulted in a steady increase in membership numbers, and as a part of its commitment to the sport, the HRCAV objectives include:
- To promote interest in equestrian sports.
- To promote good fellowship among those interested in equestrian sports.
- To educate, train, coach and encourage Members of the Association.
- To do all such things and acts conducive to the furtherance of the objects and interests of the Association
The HRCAV caters for beginner riders right through to experienced competitors with a level assessment system that ensures that you will compete against others of similar experience and ability.
The level system starts at Level 5 and continues up to Level Advanced in the disciplines of dressage, show jumping, horse trials, combined training, showing and navigational rides.
