The Department of Transport has confirmed the Henty Highway has reopened.
While a small fire southeast of Dimboola was brought under control at 3.21pm on Wednesday.
Update 4.55pm:
An advice message has been issued for Big Desert, Telopea Downs, Waggon Flat, Netherby, Yanac, Murrayville, Cowangie and Corina.
There are two bushfires in the Big Desert Wilderness Area and Big Desert State Forest.
There is currently no threat to communities, but people should continue to stay informed and monitor conditions.
Forest Fire Management said a small fire in Murrayville that was coming close to the Nhill-Murrayville Road had been marked as safe.
The bushfire was generating a lot of smoke, which has been over the road reducing visibility.
Emergency vehicles and heavy machinery have been working close to the road.
The bushfire on the southern boundary has been contained.
The fires in the Big Desert Wilderness Area were 580 hectares and 586 hectares.
Update 1.37pm: Firefighters have controlled a small bushfire at Murtoa.
Four vehicles were responding to the fire at the intersection of Longerenong-Warracknabeal Road and Bayena-Pimpino Road near Yarriambiack Creek at 1.26pm.

FIREFIGHTERS are responding to a small bushfire in Murtoa at 1.09pm.
Five vehicles were at the fire at the intersection of Longerenong-Warracknabeal Road and Bayena-Pimpino Road near Yarriambiack Creek.
Earlier: HENTY Highway near Cherrypool remains closed to motorists on Wednesday morning.
The Country Fire Authority has been on site assessing trees affected by the bushfire to ensure the area was safe.
Motorists could use the alternate route of Natimuk-Hamilton Road through Balmoral.
CFA District 17 public information officer Jenny McGenniseken said the fire, which started after noon on Tuesday, burnt more than 150 hectares of mainly grassland.
An advice message remained in place for Cherrypool and Brimpaen as the fire was still active within containment lines.
The CFA said there was currently no threat to people but residents should plan for what they would do if that situation changed.
Firefighters and heavy equipment were working on the fire and smoke would be visible from nearby roads and communities.

A Department of Environment, Land and Water spokesman said they hoped to contain the fires on Wednesday.
He said there were five vehicles, a bulldozer and two fixed wing aircraft working on the site.
The spokesman said the fire at Red Bluff track was 553 hectares, while the fire near the Nhill-Murrayville track was 530 hectares.
There were also advice messages still in place for Bellfield, Makefing, Grampians and Pomonal with bushfires in remote areas of the Grampians National Park.
The Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning said firefighters were patrolling the bushfires, which were under control, at Mount Lang, near Mount William Road and near Boundary Gap on the Major Mitchell Plateau.
The following closures were in place: Serra Road, Henham Track, Mt William Road and the Mt William summit, Major Mitchell Plateau walking track and Kalymna Falls walking track.
The fire danger rating in the Wimmera for Wednesday is high.
