The 6'1" forward claimed her first career double-double and scored her 500th career point, but for Bibby, the performance was placed in context by the bushfires back home.
"They're everywhere right now, and it's pretty horrible," she said post-game.
"There was one (fire) that actually went through our farm, but it was fine, everything is ok. It was actually while my parents were in Las Vegas, so my brother and sister had to deal with that a little.
"It was different and a bit scary, but my family is all fine. (My) prayers and everything go out to all Aussies because it is pretty horrible now."
Bibby finished the game with 13 points and 10 rebounds, as she adjusts to life back on the court.
The 21-year-old's second college season was derailed at the start of 2019 after she tore her ACL during a game against South Carolina.
Mississippi State coach Vic Schaefer held high praise for Bibby's performances on her return from injury.
"I look at her stats and Chloe is really doing it on what I call a leg and a half. She's still getting back from her injury, and I give her a lot of credit," he said.
"In our last five games, she's averaging eight rebounds a game, 11.2 points. For a kid coming back from an injury, she's really doing a good job. I know she's trying and obviously, it shows in the statistics."
