In its 42nd year of cycling, the Ararat social bike riding group has been force to postpone upcoming gatherings.
The riders rode two metres apart on Monday, after the government announced social distancing restrictions to stem the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Despite the ride going as planned, the group decided it would go into recess until the virus had passed and would get back out riding in Spring.
After much discussion, it was decided on Monday, even though we ride at least two metres apart to go into recess until this awful virus has passed. Hopefully resume back in the Spring time.
The riders sat two chairs apart for their morning cup of coffee following the last ride.
The group said farewell Ellie Cluph, who has been part of the group for more than 16 years and is moving to Ballarat.
