
Update, 2.50pm: A spokesman from Victoria Police Media said the man who died in Police custody in Horsham was Aboriginal.
Earlier: Police are investigating after a man died in police custody in Horsham.
Police were called to Harriet Street after reports a 30-year-old man was breaching a court order on March 26.
The man was arrested at the scene without incident and taken to to Horsham Police Station that afternoon where his condition deteriorated.
The man was transported to hospital by ambulance where he later died on March 29.
The Homicide Squad will investigate the death, with oversight from Professional Standards Command, as is standard protocol when someone dies in police custody.
