The $700,000 regional road maintenance blitz targets roads such as Dimboola-Rainbow Road, Jeparit-Warracknabeal Road, Nhill-Jeparit Road, Hopetoun-Rainbow Road and Birchip-Rainbow Road.
Roads, Road Safety and the TAC Minister Jaala Pulford said the works had started and would continue until the end of May.

She said the upgrades would make it safer for traffic heading in opposite directions to safely pass.
"These repair works will make it easier and safer for everyone travelling along these key Wimmera roads, particularly for trucks and heavy vehicles," she said.
"Now, as much as ever, we know how important it is to have a strong supply chain across Victoria - and that's why we're making sure these roads are up to scratch."
The works also aim to provide smoother, safer access to the Yaapeet gypsum pits ahead of the fast-approaching sowing season.
