Mawson by Peter Fitzsimons. I wanted a bit of adventure inspiration. Just finished The Shepherd's Hut by Tim Winton. I love anything Tim Winton writes and this was a page turner!
Sadly I was one of those people who binged Tiger King (don't judge me), but also loving the new series of Mystery Road on ABC
None really. I am more of a podcast fan - Regular podcasts on my playlist are ABC Conversations, Osher Gunsberg's Podcast and TED Radio Hour. Lots of great guests at the moment.
I have cooked bread from scratch (and the fact that it took three weeks to track down yeast suggests everyone else is too). Also had a go at some red lentil dahl and banana bread.
Each day I go for at least a 30 minute walk around the estate I live in. We have a little wetlands track in the area so that gets me out and about for some fresh air when I take a lunch break. Also doing quite a bit of gardening.
Being safe in our home keeps me sane. I have always considered home to be my sanctuary so I find just staying put very calming at the moment.
I have 3 great friends who I regularly catch up with for coffee, lunch, whatever. I miss our weekend sessions and our 'Sunday in Nature' walks.
See my friends for a coffee, go for a Sunday drive, get out my fishing rod and head for the nearest lake.
I work from home two days a week ordinarily so it's not too different. My home is in Ballarat and my office is in The Grampians so I certainly miss those big National Park vistas, but I have saved myself about 9 hours driving a week so that's something to be grateful for.
Relax, enjoy the time with your family, or by yourself, while you can because things will return to normal soon enough and all of this will be behind us.
