Update 12pm Monday July 27:
Wednesday July 22, 3pm: A Horsham business and a Rupanyup major event have become the latest enterprises to close their operations in 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic.
On Wednesday afternoon, baa 3400 co-owner Nicole Goldson confirmed the business had closed effective immediately, with all those who made reservations notified prior to the public announcement.
"We just thought it's our small step towards helping stop the spread, and we want to protect staff, guests, family and the community," she said.
"We were definitely busy up until now: We have probably turned away 60 to 80 people over the coming days, and as small business that is not what you want to be doing.
"While we don't know where the cases are coming from we would hate to be part of (spreading the virus)"
Meanwhile Rupanyup Major Events Committee has cancelled its 2020 Barley Banquet, saying on social media they thought it was best not to proceed for the safety of the community.
More to come.
