Federation University's Wimmera campus on Horsham's Baillie Street has been closed for deep cleaning, after a staff member tested positive for coronavirus.
In a statement on Friday, a spokeswoman said.
"A staff member at Federation University's Horsham Campus has tested positive for coronavirus. Although most staff have been working from home and most studies have been online, the campus has been closed for deep cleaning.
"The university is currently identifying any students, staff or contractors who may have been on campus at the time, and will confirm when it is safe to reopen the campus."

Until it is safe to return to the campus, all staff and students at the campus will continue their studies and work from home. They have already been doing this since March where possible.
The spokeswoman said she could not provide further details at this stage.
The latest Department of Health and Human Services update states there are four active coronavirus cases in Horsham Rural City. There is nothing at this stage to suggest this case is an addition to that tally.
