A Horsham West Primary School student, who hasn't had a haircut since 2016, has chopped off his long locks to help children who have lost their hair.

Austin Simpson had his "60cm locks" cut for children's charity Hair with Heart, on Tuesday morning at Hair Event.
"I have been mistaken for a girl a lot, but I am proud of what I have done," he said.

"I was inspired by my aunty who also donated her hair to Hair with Heart.
"I feel amazing but I was a little bit sad to see it all go.
"People I don't even know have donated which is great, and the money goes towards people who have a medical condition like alopecia."
The eleven-year-old has raised $2600 for Variety's Hair with Heart to help provide a wig or other vital equipment to a child in need.
Variety's Hair with Heart receive donations of hair and send it to specialised wig makers who make wigs for those who have lost their hair due to a medical condition.
Wigs cost families up to $6,000 and last only 1 - 2 years, meaning families can spend tens of thousands of dollars on the purchase of wigs throughout a child's youth.
Austin's mother Brigette Higham planned to cut his hair in April during the football season, but had to postpone it due to the coronavirus pandemic.
"His dad is very happy to see it go but I am a bit overwhelmed, he looks very different," she said.
"He has had trims along the way but his last big haircut was in July 2016."
Mrs Higham said the hair had to be natural, no hair dye, no grey hair and over 35 cm long.
"He well and truly beat that amount. We will be posting the hair to the charity later this week," she said.
"I am very proud of Austin ... He can't stop combing his hair and keeps hogging the mirror."
