Two people in a car and a person drinking at a friend's house have each been fined $1652 for not adhering to stage three restrictions in Nhill.

Kaniva Sergeant Pete Rose said police detected each infringement on Sunday.
"Two people driving in a car on the Western Highway from Nhill to Kaniva were intercepted. Police found they had no valid reason to be out and together," he said.
"While on Sunday morning, a man was found drinking at a friend's house in Nhill."
Sergeant Rose said the two incidents had come "out of the blue".
"Ninety-nine per cent of the time people are abiding by the rules here, and we haven't had to speak to anyone about wearing masks appropriately," he said.
Under restrictions that have been in place since August 5, regional Victorians can only leave their homes for one of four reasons:
- to shop for food and necessary goods or services
- to provide care, for compassionate reasons or to seek medical treatment
- to exercise or for outdoor recreation
- for work or education, if you can't do it from home

Across Sunday, Victoria Police issued a total of 216 fines to individuals for breaching the Chief Health Officer directions, including:
- 27 for failing to wear a face covering when leaving home for one of the four approved reasons
- 89 for curfew breaches in Melbourne, where stage four restrictions continue
- Conducted 3,294 spot checks on people at homes, businesses and public places across the state (total of 288,021 spot checks conducted since 21 March).
