There are now only two active COVID-19 cases in Horsham, down from three yesterday. This would suggest that one person has recovered, but that cannot be fully verified.
However, one total case has been added to Horsham's tally. There have now been 12 cases - including recovered - in the municipality.
Meanwhile, there are no longer any active COVID-19 cases in the West Wimmera.
Yesterday, there were two reported active cases and three total cases in the shire.
Today's figures show there has only ever been one case in the shire. Two cases have been reclassified.
Meanwhile, one active case remains in Ararat.
There are no active cases in the Northern Grampians, Hindmarsh or Yarriambiack shires.
The number of active cases statewide dropped by more than 2000 today, to a total of 4864
Acting Deputy Chief Health Officer Allen Cheng said there was a detailed assessment process for people who had recovered from the virus, which had resulted in such a significant decrease.
He noted that the drop did not mean more than 2000 people had recovered in 24 hours, but it was a build-up of days of data.
IN OTHER NEWS:
Premier Daniel Andrews thanked regional Victorians today for coming forward to get tested, as the number of active cases dropped across the state.
Mr Andrews said there were 295 active cases in regional Victoria, though noted a majority of those cases were linked to outbreaks in Geelong, Ballarat and Bendigo.
"Total numbers across regional Victoria are coming down, but that shouldn't lead to any sense of complacency," he said. "That's exactly what we want. They were always low. We want to keep them there and drive them down even further."
The state reported 240 new cases and 13 deaths.
Those deaths included one man in his 70s, six women in their 80s and five women and one man in their 90s.
Sadly, the total death toll now sits at 376.
The number of active cases statewide dropped by more than 2000, to a total of 4864.
Of the active cases statewide, 1811 are in aged care settings and 753 are healthcare workers.
3784 are "mystery cases" - where the cause of infection is not known.
622 Victorians are in hospital, of which 43 are receiving intensive care and 28 are on ventilators.
