It is the second season in a row that the Brisbane Lions workhorse has been named in the 40-man squad.
The former Horsham Saint has played every game so far this year for the Lions, becoming an indispensable member of a midfield group that looks set to guide the club to another finals campaign.
Berry, 22, is averaging 17.3 disposals a game this season and ranks first at the club for pre-clearance tackles
He also ranks second at the club for hardball-gets and pressure points, and fourth for score assists.
COVID-19 UPDATE: 'This virus can be in a local community and no one knows it'
AFL Players' Association president Patrick Dangerfield congratulated the selected players and praised their influence and consistency during the early stages of their career.
"The concept is great recognition for the up-and-coming talent across the competition and selection is something the players strive for," the 2012 22-under-22 captain said.
"It's not easy to walk into an AFL club and have an impact straight away but many of these guys have quickly become key cogs within their teams.
"A scan of the squad is proof that the future of our game is in good hands."
Now in its eighth year, the 22-under-22 is the industry's only recognised fan-voted award and provides footy fans with the power to select the final 22.
Voting closes on September 18 before the final team is revealed on the 22nd.
