Victoria has recorded 16 new cases of coronavirus, and a future two lives have been lost.
Up until midnight on Saturday night, Melbourne's 14 average is 22.1.
Regional Victoria has 8 cases in total, with an average of 0.6 per day, for the past 14 days.
Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews is expected to make announcements today on metro Melbourne moving into the second step.
Regional Victoria moved into the second step on September 13. Regional Victoria moved into the third step on September 16.
In the roadmap, it states metro Melbourne won't be moving into the third step before October 26.
