Dimboola man charged with carjacking and drug possession

The 34-year-old man was charged with carjacking, robbery, possession of methylamphetamine, theft of motor vehicle, and assault-related offences on Tuesday.

The alleged carjacking incident occurred on Forsyth Avenue in Horsham at about 12.20am on Saturday morning.

Police took the man into custody on Monday after executing two search warrants.

He has been remanded to appear at Horsham Magistrates' Court on October 5.

A 29-year-old man was also questioned in regard to the incident. He was later released, pending further inquiries.

The investigation is ongoing.

EARLIER: A Dimboola man will face court after an alleged carjacking at the weekend.

Police took the 34-year-old into custody after executing two search warrants on Monday.

Horsham Police said a number of items were found and seized at the man's property.

The man is set to face court in Horsham on Tuesday.

A 29-year-old Dimboola man was also questioned, following the execution of the two search warrants on Monday.

He was later released, pending further inquiries.
