
STAWELL SES were called to action on Saturday night for a late night rescue.
The call for assistance came in at about 9pm after a hiker was injured on the Wonderland Track in the Grampians
The Stawell-based emergency service crew was part of the rescue group including Horsham SES, Ambulance Victoria and Victoria Police.
Deputy controller Brody Stewart said two hikers also assisted with the rescue.

"Thanks goes to the two hikers who had tried to move the person as best they cold and then helped us to get the rest of the way back," he said.
"We were home just before midnight."
Mr Stewart also said on Friday afternoon, two members deployed Stawell SES's sandbagging trailer to assist the Port Fair SES unit.
"After helping sandbag a couple of houses they were home at about midnight," he said.
