
Victoria has recorded just one new coronavirus case in the past 24 hours.
Today's update revealed no further deaths as a result of the virus, with the state's death toll since the pandemic began remaining at 817 lives lost.
On October 22, the 14-day average in regional Victoria is 0.3, down from 0.4.
In metropolitan Melbourne, the average is 5.5, down from 6.1 yesterday.
On Thursday, Premier Daniel Andrews said regional Victoria is home to three active cases, all residents of Greater Shepparton.
